In this Issue:

We are already one month into the New Year. I trust that you have taken the time to write down your list of goals for the year and are implementing them as Anne suggested in our last newsletter. If not, then now is a great time to start.

The year already feels different from the energy of last year. There is excitement in the air, and if we open our minds to new possibilities, dreams and goals may come to fruition in the most unexpected ways. One thing you can count on is to expect the unexpected.

As always there is change and growth with Perfect Harmony. We now have a home for our training days and workshops. Dr Ranjani Ratnam’s Rooms have the perfect energy for us to hold our training. Located centrally in Hampton St Hampton. So keep an eye out for up coming workshops in a range of interesting modalities.

This month also sees the launch of a whole raft of new 'Perfect Harmony' products available for purchase on the web or through our clinics. Among the new products are CD's by Judith Shinoda Berry & Susanne Calman and the fresh new range of Perfect Harmony Flower Essences. The first to be featured this month is the “Aura Protection” Flower Essence, "a blend of seven essences created for opening the chakras, while at the same time bringing the element of protection to the individual".

We would like to welcome Carol Stevens, remedial massage therapist to the Jewel, St Kilda Rd.

Feet reading- Window to the Soul

The soles of the feet reflect the physical and the emotional state of the body. By looking at the characteristics of the feet, we gain an insight as to how that person perceives themselves from an emotional perspective. We can identify areas that may be causing stress in their life, thereby identifying the root cause of dis-ease.

Each month I will be “reading” obvious characteristics of people’s feet. If you would like your feet read anonymously, please send in a digital photo. The more “interesting,” the better! Characteristics just identify the masks, thus allowing me to identify the true soul.

There is quite a noticeable difference between the right (past) and left (Present) feet.

The present foot indicates that this person is more broad minded now than in the past. The right heel is slightly narrower than the left. This indicates that now this person is more focused on his/her direction. Notice the callusing on the left heel. This person tends to “dig her heels in”.

These feet show a person I describe as a peace keeper. She believes she should “do the right thing” and not make a fuss. The big toe is bending over. This means that they follow belief systems that they do not hold true to themselves. This forms a bunion around the heart area, indicating resentment at having to do or say things that she believes are not right. The big toe looks pushed down, giving the impression of feeling held down intellectually by others. This makes the second toe appear longer than the big toe, however as this person shifts her attitude towards things she cannot change, and believes in her intellectual ability, the big toe may straighten, giving a more even toe line.

The second toe is long and straight. This person is very sensitive, intuitive and creative. May have a weakness in the stomach when stressed.

Long straight toes indicate an ability to communicate well with people and gain their trust. The toes from the present have straightened, particularly the 4th and 5th toe. Indicating this person is beginning to speak her truth more freely and is not bending to meet the needs of her family (to her detriment) as much as in the past. There is callusing over the mouth reflex (side of the big toe) which is an indication that she speaks what she thinks others want to hear rather than her thoughts. The yellow tinge over this callous says that she is indignant that she feels she has to do this.

There is callusing over the heart/ emotional area of the foot (right) indicating a feeling of need to protect herself from emotional hurt.

The wavy lines just above the heel show emotion (tears) around relationships.

This person would benefit from a good dose of self love - Pink is the colour to support self love. Spread your toes and open your options (view) as to what is possible.

If you would like your feet read on our newsletter, please send a feet photo similar to the one above and include a measurement of the soles of each foot, plus your body height. Please understand that by doing so you are giving permission for these photos to be used for educational purposes. No names will be used.

If you are interested in learning to read the feet or would like your feet read in more depth then you can book a Feet reading Harmony experience. We also have one day workshops available.

The Perfect Harmony Flower Essences

Flower and Tree essences are powerful, personalised tools for self-transformation. Research and experience have shown that they vibrate in harmony with our innate health, wisdom and wholeness.

Flower and Tree Essences support us in all areas, making us conscious of our gifts and abilities. They are also catalysts for change, transcendence, and overcoming.

Our Perfect Harmony Flower Essences act gently and efficiently to address the different levels in a person and to bring balance within the soul.

The Perfect Harmony range is composed of four different blended essences, each is available in dosage bottles (with dropper dispenser) or as a Personal Mister (Spritzer).

The range comprises the Perfect Harmony Signature Blend, Perfect Harmony Time Traveller Blend, Perfect Harmony Balance Blend, and, this month's feature blend, Perfect Harmony Aura Protection Blend.
Perfect Harmony Aura Protection

The “Aura Protection” Flower Essence is a blend of seven essences created for opening the chakras, while at the same time bringing the element of protection to the individual. To provide an overall protective spiritual and psychic barrier and to bring a general balance to all the Chakras, it’s important to meld the individual Chakra essences together in one perfect, harmonious blend. This month we give special mention to the Heart Chakra, as this encourages unconditional love and concerned protection.

Chakra 1 Root ~ Sage (Salvia officinalis)

The Root Chakra’s quintessential quality is to anchor our spirit in reality. Sage Flower Essence brings us a sense of stability and inner strength to address just this need.

Chakra 2 Sacral ~ Rhododendron (Rhododendron alba)

An apt flower to use for balancing and opening to our blessings is the beautiful Rhododendron Flower, an essence to enhance one’s creative potential.

Chakra 3 Solar Plexus ~ Sunflower (Helianthus annuus)

This is the seat of personal power and individual worth. The Sunflower shines its quality of light upon the individual and helps to restore a sense of owning one’s power for the good.

Chakra 4 Heart ~ Jade Plant (Crassula arborescens) & The Rose (Rosa rugosa)

For Unconditional Love & Protection.
Our Jade Plant Flower (Crassula arborescens) is the shield, or protector, of the Heart Chakra. It is a haven where self-love, joy, unity, and peace can all meet. This strong essence protects the purity and innocence of the heart by filling it with bliss and abundance. If you look around, you will see that Nature’s heart is green, her life force and healing energy are green. The Jade Plant’s two-fold green wisdom provides for us a deep knowledge of abundance and self-sufficient prosperity.

For the pure and gentle spirit of the heart itself, The Rose (Rosa rugosa) allows us to feel a depth of love, first for ourselves and then for others. It allows the heart to be easy and to connect to the spiritual realms in a relaxed and secure way. It’s an encouraging essence that is best used in the heart of nature herself, where you will find peace, where your own heart will be nourished, in relative silence. The Rose will show you something very needful: it will bring to you whatever makes your heart sing so you can radiate warmth, joy and unconditional love. That is the result of a balanced heart chakra.

Chakra 5 Throat ~ Gardenia (Gardenia jasminoides)

The Flower Essence for this chakra is the Gardenia (Gardenia jasminoides), as it provides needed assistance to cancel any fears of voicing our viewpoint, expressing our needs or stating our opinions.

Chakra 6 Brow or Third Eye ~ Tibouchina (Tibouchina urvilleana)

This purple beauty brings us to be aware of the unique contribution we make to the universe, the value of our intrinsic beauty, and the special worth we have as spiritual beings in a physical body.

Chakra 7 Crown ~ Lotus Flower (Nelumbo nucifera)

Lotus Flower (Nelumbo nucifera) is indicated for the Crown Chakra because it can act as a spiritual elixir or harmoniser of the higher consciousness, helping the soul open to its own divinity.

Personal Success

Body Language....What are you saying to yourself and others?
by Anne Mair

How often have you thought "that person has a bad attitude" or “they are happy” just by observing another person?

Body language is the non-verbal movements we make as a part of how we communicate, from facial expressions to body stance and movements.

We all have underlying, unconscious mechanisms in our brains that automatically evaluates everything about what a person is doing; not just what they are saying. Mehrabian concluded from his studies, that communication is generally 7% words, 38% tone, 55% body language & how you look. If you wish to communicate well, it makes sense to understand how you can use your body to say what you mean.

Our mind, body and emotions are all inter-connected and we can alter our internal feelings and therefore our external expression by adjusting our body position. When you are more self-aware of how you speak, your clothing and the way you stand or sit affects yourself and others, you can improve your impact through your non-verbal communication. By purposefully using postures and gestures you can change the way you feel internally and how others feel about you.

If you notice you're feeling a bit down, take a look at how you’re standing or sitting. Most likely you'll be slouched over with your shoulders hunched inward. This posture collapses the chest and inhibits breathing, which can make you feel nervous, tired or self conscious. Standing or sitting with good posture automatically makes you feel better almost instantly and gives others a more positive impression of you.

Eye contact is a very important aspect of communicating with others, maintaining good eye contact shows respect and interest in what you are saying. Eye contact also helps you maintain focus, creates a stronger connection and helps you get a better understanding of what is being said.

Smiling is another quick way to feel better and send a positive message, even if we are unhappy when we smile, it makes us automatically feel better. Try to hold a sad thought while you consciously smile.

“Smile, it is the key that fits the lock of everybody's heart. Anthony J D’Angelo

When you want to feel confident and self-assured keep your neck straight and head level. The straight head position is perceived as authoritative and what you're saying will be taken more seriously. If you want to be friendly and in the listening, receptive mode, tilt your head just a little to one side or the other.

Next time you pass someone in the corridor at work, on your daily walk or are greeting someone hold your head and body straight, smile and make eye contact. You will be glad you did and they will also feel good about interacting with you.

What is intuition?

By Judith Shinoda Berry, M.B.A

The secret language of intuition is your most powerful innate resource. It can catapult you to your success faster than any skill, ability or talent you can achieve. When you launch your intuitive abilities into action, you will rise to your full potential without hesitation. So to begin, what is intuition?

Intuition is the small voice within you that always tells you the truth. It is your gut feeling that tells you right from wrong, when you should or shouldn’t be doing something, when you’ve made a mistake. It is straight “knowingness” in the form of truth. This is different from the “guilt” that you might experience when you know you shouldn’t have done something that is wrong… that is the soul coming through and not your intuition. Intuition is the truth without the emotion.

Intuition means that you can make the “right” choices / decisions without using the left logical mind. Intuition means that you can immediately “just know” the truth so you can do the right thing. You don’t have to agonize or stress by thinking what you need to do, you can just intuit or know the truth and knowing the truth can give you all the information you need to make the right choices in life without all the emotional grief.

By recognizing what your intuition is saying, you can explore your life on a whole new level. Intuition can create miracles in your life and lead you to your greatest successes. But, most people do not know what their intuition sounds like. Do you?

If you are not listening to your intuition, you are missing out on this hidden pathway to instant success and the wealth of wisdom it can bring you. But, it is hard to trust something if you don’t have a relationship with it. In fact, you would probably ignore it. That is why some people do not listen to their intuition. Intuition is the truth, but it comes in raw form. People do not know what to do with this intuitive “data.” They need to process it; they need to learn to accurately interpret it into meaningful and useable information. Otherwise they will ignore it. But, it is a shame to throw away such valuable information. Think about it.

What if you were in school and you intuitively knew the answer to every question the teacher asked, without hesitation? What would your life be like? You would have so much more free time to play and have fun, wouldn’t you? If you intuitively knew the answers to every question, you could collect top scores quickly and easily. If you had access to this type of intuitive information, would it be wise to ignore it?

In the school of life, intuition is our gift of receiving the truth. But you must know how to interpret your intuition in order to effectively put it to use. Think of all the business situations, the job offers, the stock market opportunities and the financial choices that we must make everyday. What about the family matters, the friends we depend on and the people we trust? If you could know the truth in every situation without hesitation, wouldn’t your life be so much simpler and easier if you knew what to do every time?

Learning to hear what your intuition is saying can skyrocket you to personal and professional success instantly by taking the guesswork and stress out of your life. If you would like to know more about intuition or how you can develop your skills, contact Judith Shinoda Berry, M.B.A Email & Website

Judith will be conducting Intuition Development Workshops in Melbourne this year. Details available soon at the Perfect Harmony Website.
