Feet reading- Window to the Soul
The souls of the feet reflect the physical and the emotional state of the body. By looking at the characteristics of the feet, we gain an insight as to how that person perceives themselves from an emotional perspective. We can identify areas that may be causing stress in their life, thereby identifying the root cause of dis-ease.
Feet reading is a tool we use as part of a healing package. It is aimed at looking at the self and encouraging change from within, so as to affect the outside world. You can’t change other people, you can only change yourself.
By taking steps to express and release fears, and identifying limiting beliefs, we can stop blaming others for the stress our life situation may cause, and become empowered to change from within, thereby changing the way people respond to us.
Feelings about yourself may be validated, enabling you to feel understood and then be able to move on. Alternatively, we may also uncover situations that require referral to other professionals.
Each month I will be “reading” obvious characteristics of people’s feet. I will choose a variety of feet, so I welcome you to read along and identify the traits that may apply to you. If you would like your feet read for public display, please send in a digital photo. The more “interesting,” the better! Remember, to me there is no such thing as an ugly foot. Characteristics just identify the masks, thus allowing me to identify the true soul.
Now, take a look at your feet. What are your initial thoughts? After learning about feet reading, you will never look at feet the same way again!

The smallish size of these feet in relation to body size indicates a quiet achiever. One who can stand up with confidence in front of a crowd, although that is not their natural comfort zone.
The wide feet represent broad mindedness and a down-to-earth attitude, whilst the small toes indicate a lack of confidence in one’s own abilities. This in no way represents lack of competence, as usually this person expects a lot from themselves. Rather, they tend to look at what they have not yet attained, over-enjoying their achievements to date.
The toes indicate that this individual is able to ground information and pay attention to detail, (dotting the i’s and crossing the t’s). The foot’s colour, a yellowish tinge, indicates a present feeling of indignation (cheesed off), while the darkish patches representing deep hurt. The full padded area under the toes represents unshed tears in relation to issues of the heart.
For healing I would recommend the colour Pink and the ‘Native Wisteria’
Flower Essence. Being surrounded by Pink, eg. flowers, crystals, clothing, and candles, will all help with healing the Heart Charka, whilst the ‘Native Wisteria’ Flower Essence helps overcome the feeling of being overwhelmed. It gently brings out the adult to care for the child.
I would ask this person to stop and recognise what they has achieved, to document past achievements, and bask in that glory before s/he looks at what is next.
If you would like your feet read on our newsletter, please send a feet photo similar to the ones above and include a measurement of the soles of each foot, plus your body height. Please understand that by doing so you are giving permission for these photos to be used for educational purposes. No names will be used.
If you are interested in learning to read the feet or would like your feet read in more depth then you can book a Feet reading Harmony experience. We also have one day workshops available.
Botanical Therapy Tip... Spring Space Cleansing
Refresh any room by spraying an essence-infused mist into the ambient air. Flower
essence drops imbue plain spring water with volatile vibrational energy that can shake up a space’s ‘vitality’ and change it from draggy to dynamic in a few minutes.
Emotionally-charged energy left over in a room will affect people coming into the same space. To neutralise this residual emotional energy, lightly mist the air around the room with the nature-inspired ‘Balance Mist’ Flower Essence from Perfect Harmony.
This essence was created with harmonising components to bring your room a soothing and refreshing, wholesome atmosphere.
It’s a great way to usher in the Spring season!

Thought for the month
"One must marry one's feelings to one's beliefs and ideas. That is probably the only way to achieve a measure of harmony in one's life.”

The Influence of Colour
Do you want to benefit from colour in your life? Colour is an integral part of our world, surrounding us always and impacting on our behaviour and moods. Colour links directly to the subconscious mind, is energy and has a physical effect on us which has been proven through many experiments; most markedly, where blind people were asked to identify colours with their fingertips and were easily able to do so.
Colour is also used to express feelings in our language. We find some colours uplifting and inspiring, and others depressing. We often use terms such as “feeling blue”, “green with envy”, and “seeing red”.
The Psychology of Colour
Each individual has personal associations and preferences for colour. Red may be seen by you as exciting and stimulating; another may see it as aggressive. Blue could be perceived as calm and soothing or cold and unfriendly. The four psychological primary colours are red, blue, yellow and green. They relate respectively to the body, the mind, the emotions and the essential balance between these three.
RED: Physical
Positive: Physical courage, strength, warmth, vitality, 'fight or flight', stimulation, excitement.
Negative: Defiance, aggression, visual impact, strain, impatience.
Pink is emotionally soothing and calming, giving a feeling of gentle warmth and nurturing.
BLUE: Intellectual
Positive: Intelligence, communication, trust, efficiency, duty, logic, coolness, reflection, calm.
Negative: Coldness, lack of emotion, unfriendliness.
Strong blues will stimulate clear thought; soft blues will calm the mind and aid concentration.
YELLOW: Emotional
Positive: Optimism, confidence, self-esteem, emotional strength, friendliness, creativity, memory and clear thinking
Negative: Irrationality, fear, anxiety
Orange frees and releases emotions, lifts the spirits and stimulates the mind.
GREEN: Balance
Positive: Harmony, balance, refreshment, restoration, reassurance, nature, peace and relaxation
Negative: Boredom, stagnation, blandness, decay.
Green has a strong affinity with nature. We instinctively seek it out when stressed or experiencing emotional trauma.
Using Colour
How do you want to feel? The colour of clothing in the right shades and tones for you can make you look and feel great, balance your energy and support you. The wrong colours can make you feel and look tired. People can sometimes be drawn to colours that match their mood and sometimes the colours they need for balance. Your personal colours can be determined during a Colour Consultation, based on your personality, energy needs and complexion. Not only will the right colours positively affect you but also those you are interacting with.
You can select colours to alter your energy which assist in changing emotional states and give more strength or calmness or vitality. Co-ordinated effectively, colour choices tailored to your needs can support you, for example, with inner strength, calm and confidence simultaneously. Consider the colours you are wearing and currently have in your home or see in other environments. How do the various colours affect you personally?

Relief for neck and shoulder pain by Lana Yau
One of the most common complaints from my clients is of sore or tight neck and shoulders. Often this is due to stress or tension, and exacerbated by long hours sitting in front of the computer.
Throughout the day, many people are in the habit of sitting slumped forward,
tensing the neck or finding that their shoulders have somehow risen up towards their ears. The muscles feel “hard” or “sore” as they contract and shorten, particularly if these postural habits are ongoing. Occasionally, people complain of neck pain on waking, which can be caused by sleeping with the neck in a tilted position. The muscles most commonly affected, are the upper trapezius and levator scapulae muscles.
The function of the upper trapezius is to elevate the shoulder, bend the neck and head to the same side and aid in extreme rotation of the head to the opposite side. The levator scapulae helps to rotate the scapula (shoulder blade) and also acts in conjunction with the upper trapezius in elevating the scapula. When there is dysfunction in these muscles, people often complain of a headache (usually on the same side as where the pain occurs), pain or tightness of the jaw, stiffness of the neck and shoulders and difficulty in turning the head.
Regular massage of the neck, shoulder and upper back muscles can help with relieving such pain and restoring range of movement, with most clients responding well after 3-4 sessions. Additionally, exercise focusing on correcting the problem areas such as Pilates or a supervised weights program, will help retrain the muscles and prevent future injuries.
Please call us to enquire about our 4-session neck and shoulder program. This is specifically designed for relief of headaches and shoulder and neck tension and is to be undertaken over a 4-week period.
