Feet reading - Window to the Soul

The soles of the feet reflect the physical and the emotional state of the body. By looking at the characteristics of the feet, we gain an insight as to how that person perceives themselves from an emotional perspective. We can identify areas that may be causing stress in their life, thereby identifying the root cause of dis-ease.

Case Study

Overall, these feet are of medium size in relation to body size, indicating that the person does not need to be the centre of attention, and yet is not totally comfortable taking a back seat either. The most natural state for this individual is somewhere in the middle of those two extremes.

Broad feet represent broad-mindedness, and the narrow heels indicate that when a path is chosen, this person remains quite focused. The big toe looks shorter than the second toe. In fact, it has the appearance of being pushed down. This relates to feelings of an inability to express thoughts and ideas due to a feeling that others may be pushing them down.

The big toe is bending slightly, which indicates a tendency to give in to others' beliefs even though these may not be true for the person they give in anyway, just to keep the peace. The second toes represent unconditional love and creativity. As these are long and straight, this indicates an abundance in this area.

There is change in the fourth and fifth toes which relate to communication and family respectively. The fourth toe indicates a straightening is taking place. This represents an active communication of true thoughts and feelings, more than was true in the past. The fifth toe, relating to family and society, is not straight. This indicates a feeling of bending to meet the needs of family, before considering one’s own. There are changes in the shape of this toe, indicating that in the past this person’s true self was hidden. The change represents a new willingness to expose their true self to the outside world and express their needs.

The colour Yellow and the Bird of Paradise Flower Essence both have qualities known to address these needs.

If you would like your feet read on our newsletter, please send a feet photo similar to the one above and include a measurement of the soles of each foot, plus your body height. Please understand that by doing so you are giving permission for these photos to be used for educational purposes. No names will be used.

If you are interested in learning to read the feet or would like your feet read in more depth then you can book a Feet reading Harmony experience. We also have one day workshops available.

Getting in Shape

Accelerate results with a Healthy Body Image

Anne A Mair - Life Skills Coach, Image Consultant, Master NLP Practitioner, Hypnotherapy

Spring is here and its time to clean out your old attitudes and prepare your bodies for a fabulous summer ahead. With the days getting warmer and summer just around the corner, your thoughts go to how you feel about your body.

I ask you to look back at New Year's Eve 2005 and recall the New Year resolutions you made for this year. Will you have reached these goals by New Year's Eve 2006? How would you like to experience New Year's Eve 2006? Knowing you have succeeded in reaching your goals, able now to confidently set new goals for the coming year.

Body Image

Healthy bodies come in all shapes and sizes. Developing and nurturing a positive body image and a healthy mental attitude is important to a person’s happiness and wellbeing. Most people have heard about body image, few make it part of their plan for reaching their ideal weight and fitness level

When you perceive and feel about your body in a positive way, you will achieve your desired results faster.
How do you see your own body? Take a moment to reflect on the things you like and appreciate about your body.

Inner Beliefs

What do you really believe about your ability to loose weight and be fit & healthy this summer?

Your unconscious mind holds all the beliefs which create your habits concerning food, exercise and caring for yourself. Limiting beliefs such as “I can’t do it” can make it a struggle to succeed.

Your inner beliefs can help you move towards a goal easier than the work (will power) required to move away from what you don’t want. Are you working at not being over weight or are you motivated towards being fit, healthy and your ideal body weight?

With positive beliefs, you can achieve lifestyle changes which include active exercise, healthy eating habits and nurturing yourself.

Mental Attitude

In order to make permanent changes in your life, it is necessary to have the right mental attitude. Getting your unconscious mind in agreement with your desired outcome is necessary, rather than fighting and struggling by working against it.

Various NLP (Neuro Linguistic Programming) techniques, in conjunction with Hypnosis, can assist you in creating positive beliefs and new habits within your subconscious mind to support your success.

With the right mental attitude you will have healthy food preferences, increased motivation to exercise and more energy with your increasing fitness as you change your mind about your body.

Picture yourself, having made these changes. It's New Year's Eve 2006. Where will you be? What do you see, what do you feel, what are you thinking, as the fit, healthy, confident and energised person that you are now.

  • Reflexologist and Managing Director of Perfect Harmony

Before experiencing the amazing benefits of Reflexology for herself, Lyn Fava spent 20 years in the nursing profession. Questioning as to when illness occurs, one person will heal, another will not. Then quite by “accident”, she stumbled upon reflexology and learnt that the feet reflect the physical and emotional state of the body. Here was a non-invasive therapy that was really making a difference in people’s lives.

What Lyn learned during extensive study convinced her that reflexology therapies open up opportunities to help people heal by taking a truly holistic approach. She was excited to find that reflexology could be applied as an extension of traditional nursing care.

Lyn has relentlessly pursued knowledge of reflexology methods, and not only has gained a formidable array of post-graduate qualifications and knowledge of a variety of modalities, but is recognised by her peers as a high quality trainer. Over the past four years she has taught Reflexology at Victoria University, and at the Australian School of Reflexology and Relaxation.

Lyn has provided Reflexology care to clients in her own clinic, in other practices, in nursing homes and schools, and to leaders and staff in a broad range of corporations. While ensuring that Perfect Harmony meets its clients’ special needs for natural therapies, she maintains an overriding determination to help empower people to live their dreams.

These days, Lyn Fava is principal of Perfect Harmony, her own fast-growing natural Therapy practice. She has gathered around her a team of highly qualified and committed professionals who provide a wide array of complimentary therapies in convenient locations around Melbourne.
